First 4G Services in India – Airtel 4G LTE

Bharti Airtel launched India’s first 4G services in Kolkata on Tuesday. Airtel is not a new name in the world of telecom service as it is one of the biggest providers of this field now. The new service was announced by Kapil Sibal, minister of telecoms.

There are three plans available under the Airtel 4G – first one i.e. Break free plan is Rs 999 with a free usage of 6GB (Giga bytes), second plan i.e. Break free Max Plan is of Rs.1, 399 along with free usage of 9GB and finally the third plan is the Break free Ultra plan of Rs.1, 999 under which 18GB free data usage is granted.

As per the4G service from Airtel, one would not have to waste their hours for downloading movie. Also, if you want to purchase Wi-Fi devices offered by Airtel worth Rs 7,750 and the 4G multi mode Dongles are available at Rs.7, 999.

Speed of this Airtel 4G is 10 times higher than the Airtel 3G. According to 3G services, download speed is about 1.5 to 2 Mbps (mega bytes per second) whereas Airtel 4G allows the speed of about 10 to 15 Mbps. This statement was delivered by Sanjay Kapoor, CEO of Bharti Airtel India and also South Asia, at the time of the launch.

Banking facility on Airtel 4G is going to be increased by Telecom Operators as getting much hopeless start by Airtel 3G. Services of Airtel 3G has started since last 18 months but unfortunately, it was able to connect only about 15-20 millions from all over the country to this network. Amazingly, the telecom operations had paid about Rs. 65,000 crore for the Airtel 3G spectrums.

This telecom has given chance to Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for maintaining and expanding the operating network in entire Maharashtra. They suggest them to use TD-LTE for the promotion of the network and it is also one of the 4G technologies.

It has become pride of country that Airtel is the first network to launch 4G wireless services in Kolkata. Also, in 2010, Airtel had won BWA spectrum for its four telecom circles – Punjab, Kolkata, Maharashtra and Karnataka. For this entanglement, the company paid Rs. 3,314.36 crores.

Airtel also owed 20 MHz of BWA spectrum in 2.3 GHz frequency band that is mainly demanded for fabulous operating 4G services by just transmitting signals.

After successful launch in Kolkata, now the company is making its mind to launch Airtel 4G services in Bangalore within 30 days by Bharti Airtel. As per Kapoor, speed will be the great application of Airtel 4G. In today’s internet world, speedy data is the main demand of the consumers and his aim is to be the only one in this field. As per him, the download speed offered by 4G services is about 100Mbps as on paper but actually, the speed varies with the quantity of consumers and also the type of applications used at the same moment of time.
