Indian Bank published the vacancy of 1201 clerks on their official website – www.indianbank.in. Those who have taken the Common Written Examination (CWE) for Clerical cadre by held IBPS in 2011 can apply for the vacancy. As per the notification on the website, the application forms for Clerks Recruitment 2012 started accepting on 29th June 2012 and date of closure is 13th July 2012.
The Clerk recruitment is state/UT wise basis so it’s necessary that candidate should apply for the vacancies of the state which he/she have appeared the CWE conducted by IBPS.
Candidate Age Limit
Age restriction of the candidate is minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years.
Candidate should be passed Higher Secondary examination of 10+2 or any equivalent examination or Diploma in Banking recognized by the Government with 50% or more marks and it should be aquired before 01-08-2012 .
The Candidate should have the knowledge in the local Language of the State/UT for which he/she has applied.
Other Essential Requirements
- IBPS Score obtained in Common Written Examination for Clerks cadre 2011-12 (TWSS for General Category is 120 and for Reserved category/ EXM/ PWD is 105)
- Candidates should have appeared in the CWE from a centre in a State for the vacancies he/she wishes to apply.
- Candidates should be fluent in English
- Candidate should have knowledge in computers or the same should be acquired within the 6 months of joining bank
Indian Bank Clerk Payment Scale

Probation is 6 months which can be extended by the Bank.
