The JKBOSE (Jammu & Kashmir State Board of School Education) is responsible to regulate, develop and control the education in Jammu and Kashmir state till the Higher secondary level. The board was established on 1975 and it located at Srinagar. JKBose runs more than 10,610 schools across the state and employs 22,400 teachers.
The board conducts public examinations every year for students those who have appeared in the Secondary School and Higher Secondary school education courses.
The JKBose conduct a total of 5 exams every ear; which are Secondary School Examination, Higher Secondary Examination part-I, Higher Secondary Examination part-II, Diploma in Elementary Education, and Certificate course in Physical Education.
